John E. Moss Foundation 


   The John E. Moss Foundation was co-founded on August 19, 1998 by Michael R. Lemov and Kathleen B. Benson, with the help of Members of Congress, friends and staff of former Congressman John E. Moss of Sacramento, California. Mr. Moss represented the Third Congressional District of California in the U.S. House of Representatives for 13 terms from 1953 until he retired in 1978. He died in San Francisco, California on December 5, 1997. His wife, the former Jean Kueny, daughters Allison and Jennifer, five grandchildren and one great grandchild survive him.
