Jeffrey H. Schwartz serves as President, The Social Venture Capital Foundation (SVCF), Chevy Chase, MD. SVCF is a foundation that provides modest seed money grants and management counsel to help new nonprofits start up, become more effective, and achieve greater financial self-sufficiency through support of mission-related enterprises. Previously, Mr. Schwartz served as one of the founders, principals,
and members of the Board of Jellinek, Schwartz, & Connolly, Inc., a
Washington, DC-based multidisciplinary environmental and management consulting
firm. Mr. Schwartz has also served as Counsel for Environmental Legislation,
Interstate and Foreign Commerce Committee, U.S. House of Representatives;
as well as working in the Office of General Counsel in the U.S. Environmental
Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Health, Education, and Welfare.
In addition, Mr. Schwartz was co-founder, Board Member, and chief spokesman
for a national nonprofit vaccine safety education and advocacy organization
now known as National Vaccine Information Center.
